Arrival
Guests arrive at Lower College Hall and are greeted by a drinks reception. If the weather proves favourable the drinks reception is held on the lawn whilst the bride and groom have their photographs taken.
Wedding Breakfast
The bridal party form a receiving line. We call your guests and they are introduced to both sides of the family. Once all the guests are seated, the bride and groom are announced into Lower College Hall.
Toasts and Speeches
After the meal service, the nominated persons will be called upon to make their appropriate speeches.
This would normally be the Bride’s Father who proposes the toast to the “Bride and Groom”. Then it is the turn of the Bridegroom who responds to the first toast and proposes a toast to the Bridesmaids. The Best Man is next who responds on behalf of the Bridesmaids and proposes a toast to the parents of the bride and groom. He may then read out the cards and messages.
The Dancing
When the speeches have finished, the bride and groom will be led upstairs so that dancing may commence.
