There are 6,500 students at the university. They come to St Andrews from the UK, Europe, America, Asia and many other countries. The university teaches arts subjects, pure sciences and divinity and is in the top ten percent of UK universities for teaching and research.

The university's older buildings stand alongside the shops and offices of the town, while its more modern buildings are less than half a mile away overlooking the golf courses and St Andrews bay. During the summer from June to the middle of September you can stay with us and enjoy St Andrews and its university. We welcome conferences, group travel, sports and special interest groups and individual holiday guests.

We can offer superior en-suite bedrooms, en-suite bedrooms in our new, environmentally friendly building and standard bedrooms where bathrooms are shared. Each of our nine buildings has its own management team, dining room, and lounge areas. Some have a bar. All our bedrooms are serviced daily, have complimentary toiletries and coffee/tea facilities, a telephone and are non-smoking.

These too are spread throughout St Andrews. Some are in ancient mediaeval buildings; others are in contemporary arts and science buildings. Wherever you choose to stay in the university there will be meeting rooms nearby if you wish to use them.

Customer service is our highest priority. Our staff are one of our great assets and we invest in their professional development. We have held the Investors in People award since 1997. In 2000 we were one the first academic venues to achieve Hospitality Assured and Hospitality Meetings Assured. Now we are embracing environmentally friendly policies and were the first university to be awarded the prestigious Hospitable Climates award. Two of our buildings have quality assurance awards from VisitScotland.
